How to Do Sea World

Scrunchie, overalls, SeaWorld San Antonio tickets from HEB and seeing the joy in my son’s eyes = one perfect day. ☀️

First family trip to an amusement park in the books. ✔️ Thanks HEB for having discount SeaWorld cards. Great for gifting, too! I’m almost positive that’s where we bought tickets 20 years ago, right mom?! (I probably wore a scrunchie and overalls then too. ?)

Crosson loved the dolphins and belugas the most. (And the Aquatica water park! ?) Dad loved the sea lions. Not surprised, he related to them quite well… ? And mom just loved being back at a park she grew up at. Not much has changed. Still as good as I remembered it.

Tips for a easy and fun time:

1. Buy discounted tickets at HEB, you save up to $20!! We legitimately did this 20 years ago and it’s still the best deal.
2. Bring a stroller if your kid can fit in one. We, sadly, gave our last strollers away last week and so wished we would have had one at the end of the day. There’s tons of stroller parking around. We would have packed a few more snacks if we had the stroller.
3. Empty water bottle. Bring one. We brought a giant one and just refilled it all day.
4. Pack swim suits and light towels even if you don’t go to Aquatica. There’s the cutest Sesame Street splash pad so you’ll probably need them.
5. Little snacks are are allowed in the parks. If you’re kids are snackers bring them. We don’t have a crazy snacker so we opted out of this tip.
6. If the Seven Seas Food Festival is going on, BUY the sampler pass. It WAS so worth it!! We did the 15 sampler and the food is so good! Full sample sizes of food and drinks. In some cases, they were almost a full meal! You save about $1-3 per plate and the lines are so much shorter than eating at the restaurants.
7. Plan your day around the shows. We wanted to do all the big shows so we did the water park and rides in between.

Besides that, have fun! I enjoyed it just as much as I did as a kid. A little more work to get there, but worth it to see my son so happy!
