Take a Day Trip to Fredericksburg’s Signor Vineyards

Zucci Violin at Signor Vineyards

Sundays are officially for day trips. We pick a small town and head there for the day. Or pick a small town on our route home from the lake. It’s easy to get burnt out on the same trip so we decided to switch it up a bit. Thus the new Sunday schedule! I absolutely LOVE Sunday’s now. I feel like we have 3 days in one.

This past Sunday we drove to Signor Vineyards on the way to the lake and had a picnic and played with our new camera in shooting one of the Zucchi violins from Antonio Strad. My husband and I have been teaching ourselves product photography and a glass of wine and some good backgrounds seem to fit the hobby well!

Signor Vineyards is quite the property, and a perfect mix of Hill Country Southern vibes mixed with Italian or French countryside. They are considered a restaurant so you do need to order food with your wine, as a heads up. We always do that anyways since Crosson is with us, so it worked perfectly for us! Do yourself a favor and make reservation in advance. We got lucky and snagged a picnic table without a reservation but they said that doesn’t happen normally! There is lots of parking available and the grounds are spacious. Social distance drinking at it’s finest. The outdoor patio was ideal for photographing the Zucchi Violin with some wine and enjoying the live entertainment.

Perks of Signor Vineyards compared to some other local Fredericksburg vineyards: they don’t make you do a tasting, you can buy a glass or a bottle without being a member, great parking, the food menu is great, they have a little store if you want to just have a picnic without being served, and the live music is fantastic.

Five stars in my book!
