Finished Your Christmas Shopping? Why Yes, I Did.

Not bragging but… I got 90% of my Christmas shopping done. (And it wasn’t from the giant online marketplace.) It actually was from a store you probably remember as a child. One you probably have forgotten about but need a little reminder to go shop. Come on Erin, just tell us…

TUESDAY MORNING.

Of all places to Christmas shop, why not look at Tuesday Morning?? I literally got a present for EVERY person on my list AND décor for the season.

I remember going with my mom over 20 years ago and had forgotten how good it was. The name brand items, aisles of unique gifts, home décor and appliances, and sweet employees just seem to suck you right in to where you forget you’ve been there for two hours. Crosson had about enough after an hour and a half of me saying “those toys are not for you,” “maybe ask Santa for that,” “no, we cannot get the toy set,” and thirty other similar sentences. (Note to self: Christmas shopping with a four-year-old for other people is not the smartest idea.) PS. Our store was SO busy! (Of all ages, too!) People come in every week to see all the new merchandise.

Here are four gift guides ALL from Tuesday Morning:

For the mama, mother-in-law, or woman in your life: think comfy, cozy and cute! I went with a really gorgeous, oversized scarf and then some cozy items for the home. The pillows were a fantastic price and came in a set of two. I found THE softest fuzzy, furry blanket to pair with them and then a designer red blanket to layer with it too! I threw in a few simple black frames, too, because who doesn’t love photos of grandchildren?!

For the hostess with the mostess: find fun, funky and usable items for the hosting season and beyond. I think this was my favorite one to pick out because of the unique hostess finds in store. The Moscow mule mugs were too stinking cute and also really hard to decide on. There were so many gorgeous copper mugs to choose from! The automatic wine opener was a must-have because of the serious savings and I HAD to get the Christmas cups. They are too funny! Paired with a frame to for those party photos, infused ice blocks, a new apron and the prettiest tray. I love finding things to put the gifts in so I don’t have to wrap them!

For the men in your life: YES, there are man gifts at Tuesday Morning. I went with practical gifts that they would like AND use but wouldn’t necessarily buy for themselves. Think air compressors, personal-sized wet vacs, camping gear, flash lights, snacks and more. Pro tip: always pair man gifts with snacks. They seem to get bored and hungry when opening gifts so you’ll be the real winner if you supply good snacks.

And last but not least, gifts for the whole family: think card games, board games, and fun for all. I found a whole section of games for all ages at Tuesday Morning. We picked up a board game, a pinball baseball game and foam shooter set. I couldn’t decide on this gift guide because they had beautiful wooden chess and checkers and all sorts of dominos. I don’t know about your family, but we love to play games at holiday gatherings. I’ll probably come back for a few more when guests start coming over.

So there you go, almost all my list checked off. If you want to get ahead of the game, go shopping at Tuesday Morning. Support your local store and have fun actually going INTO a store. HAH!
