Sonic’s New Treat for the Inner Kid in Us All

I can vividly remember running into the kitchen during the heat of summer and grabbing popsicles out the freezer. My brother and I could care less about the brain freezes. It was all about the ice cold popsicle running down our faces. (I can also remember us being “limited” on how many we could eat in a 5-minute period… Sorry mom.)

Not only do popsicles bring back memories but so do Sonic’s Cherry Limeades. Poolside at the neighborhood pool with a Cherry Limeade made the Texas heat that much more bearable. When I found out about Sonic’s new popsicles at the store, I about died. The inner kids in me was doing cartwheels. (And my son was attempting cartwheels after eating one.)

My son has never had a popsicle so these photos don’t do the excitement justice. The glee of that pop was evident in the circles he ran around me right after inhaling it. It’s so cool to be a mom and treat my child to the same summer treats I had in one popsicle.

I can’t wait for the next few months of pool days, sprinkler fun, water fights and Sonic Slush Pops running down our faces. Bring on the funny faces when you get a brain freeze. It’s so worth it.
