Putting it All Out There
This is a weird thing to write about and I’ll probably get some strange looks when I put this up. And I’m okay with that because I’m proud of where I am and what I did to get here. I’m also excited to see where I’ll be in the next 90 days.
Wednesday I started the Lifetime Fitness 90 day fall challenge. They do two of these a year and I failed to do the last one. (Being lazy and cheap, I guess). This time I’m going to kill it. There are two options – weight loss and transformation. I will be competing in the transformation challenge based on my statistics, results, pictures and stories.
Here’s the part where I put it all out there: I moved to Austin two years and three months ago. I weighed 151 pounds around the time I moved. Nothing motivated me to work out when I lived in Boerne and San Antonio. I just didn’t want to. I just complained about being fat and compared myself to my always-going-to-be skinny best friend Jessa. (She eats cupcakes and cheese all day and can’t gain an ounce!)
About a year ago, I joined Lifetime Fitness and honestly it saved me. I had been a member in San Antonio before, but I was so lazy I just wasted my money. Not this time. I gradually started to work out 2-3 days a week. I have had 3 personal training appointments and have yet to try a fitness class. Now I am working out 4-5 days a week. Strength and cardio are my daily routines, some days longer than others.
Here’s the awesome part: I weighed in for my challenge and was pleasantly surprised.
My stats as of 1:30 pm on 8/7/13:
Weight: 119 lbs
24% body fat
Everything was in the lower/healthy range
32 pounds in 2 years and I lost a majority of that in the past year.
Here is my goal:
Weight: 110-112 pounds
18% body fat
I would love to tone my arms and thighs and maybe work hard enough to have a six pack. That would be my dream. (Cameron Diaz’ arms and legs are the ideal look for me. I might be pushing it.) 🙂
That’s that. It’s all on the table. Now I have to stick to it since I’ve told everyone. More motivation. Weekly weigh ins and write ups = more motivation.
Here are my current pictures for the challenge:
Until my next weigh in,
Erin
