Why You Should Invest in A Good Pair of Boots + Rodeo Style
I’m a firm believer in investment pieces and saving money elsewhere. Cowboy boots are one of those pieces in my closet. Have you heard the quote “Spend your money on quality boots, and you’ll wear them forever”? It’s so true.
Why spend the money?
Handmade boots are made from the highest quality leather. They will cost you a little more but in the end they will outlast any other boot. They will take the shape of your foot and go the distance. Boots made of plastic or faux leather will not mold to your feet regardless of how much you wear them.
Leather cowboy boots rarely go out of style. (In fact, it was a top trend this year in NYFW.) You will always find a reason to wear a quality pair of boots. My husband wears his to client meetings with slacks or jeans and he always looks good. I can wear them with jeans, skirts, dresses and shorts and they fit to every outfit. Yes, I love a good pair of heels but I honestly wear those 4-5 times a year, I wear my boots hundreds of times.
A leather cowboy boot can take a beating and clean up nicely. I love that I can condition my boots and they look brand new. Yes, a few scratches but I like the worn in look and I know they’ll be around when I’m old and gray!

Where to spend the money?
My Lucchese’s are from Pinto Ranch. I ordered them based on their sizing blog here and they were on my doorstep in two days. TWO DAYS, y’all. I slipped them on and they fit like a glove. And the smell?? Intoxicating. Am I the only weird one who loves the smell of leather boots? (Okay, maybe I am.)
Feel weird buying high end boots online? Don’t. Call Pinto Ranch and talk them through what you want and why you want them. They’ll find the right size and style for you and if it doesn’t fit, they’ll send you the right size until it does!

Here are my picks from Pinto Ranch. They are so worth the price. Imagine giving your children and grandchildren these boots. Or them fighting over a pair when you’re gone. It makes me smile just thinking about it. (You know I love my boots when I can say that.)
