I can’t help myself. I have to stop and have a treat or take a look in one little store in any small town square. They are always so inviting and maintained the same as when the town was founded. (In most cases they are in good shape, but some towns are so run down, it breaks my heart…)

Today I find myself in the historic downtown Benton, KY. I got a few stares as my fiancé snapped a few shots of my outfit today but every single person smiled as they drove past. I wandered around the little antique shops and one cute, little boutique ironically called .

We grabbed a sweet iced tea at and enjoyed the 85 degree weather with a nice breeze. You can’t beat this in the beginning of August. The sun is shining and the trees have just enough coverage for a cool place to sit. I must admit, I love this little town.

My family-to-be will be throwing us a shower on Saturday and I can’t wait. We are so blessed to have two wonderful families who dote on Chris and I. We are very thankful for all the kindness that our friends and family have shown over this engagement.
