I get it, the “terrible-for-you-but-tastes-so-good” food is easy. If you eat one thing it isn’t going to kill you, but those little (but big fat/calories/artificial elements) are going to add up. Trust me, I know it is SO hard to cut yourself off from the easy, comfort foods, and the fast food and fried food and constant sweets. I’ve done it. And now, I’m almost 50 pounds lighter. FIFTY pounds, ladies and gents.

That’s why I became a Sweat Pink ambassador and challenged myself to do this Lorna Jane #MNBchallenge. It’s fun to see the other inspiring pictures of the other contestants and hopefully inspire my readers to do the same.

Clean Eating is easy – walk into Whole Foods or Central Market and you are bound to have an abundance of choices. Check out Lorna Jane’s clean eating shopping list. It’s a great tool to have when you are easing yourself into clean eating. I don’t eat beef or pork – and guess what? They aren’t on the shopping list.

This week’s challenge was centered around nourishing your body, mind and spirit.

Take the food you are eating and make it good for your soul. Feel good about eating – don’t put something inside you that you will regret 5 minutes later. That’s not a healthy habit for you’re body or your mind.

2/10: Go Meatless – Skip meat today! This was easy Chris and I choose two days a week where we go vegetarian. This week I actually did 4 days!!

2/11: TYLTW! – Take Your Lunch to Work today! I chose a meal-replacement smoothie movenourishbelieve.com to take the place of a lunch during my “work” day… (Clean house, work out, write blogs, eat healthy is my job.)

2/12: Write it down! – Food Diaries are amazing to really see what you are eating. Eliminate yourself from eating terrible things so you don’t have to write those bad foods down.

2/13: Smoothie Day! – Happy Thirsty Thursday! Another easy day – We make super food smoothies every day!

2/14: Go Raw Friday – I’ve decided to make a raw apple crumble for Valentine’s Day. No picture yet but I’ll add to it!

Amazing week of nourishing my body while nourishing my mind with great new work outs! I tried Barre3 this week and absolutely loved it! Excited to see what next week brings!
