Spirit of Christmas Night at The Trail of Lights & a Giveaway!
One of our most favorite things to do during the Christmas season is visit Austin’s Trail of Lights. It’s now a family tradition and it makes me giddy every time we pull up to the trail.
This year we’re going before it actually opens for the Spirit of Christmas, by Spirit 105.9, to benefit childhood literacy through Education Connection! Read through to find out how to win tickets for December 5th.
The Trail of Lights has more than 2 million lights, 40 HUGE displays and attracts over 400,000 people each year. (More the reason to go on December 5th before the crowds get crazy!)
Some tips: bring a stroller or wagon for littles and some comfy shoes because it’s a walking trail of almost 2.5 miles of activities. The trail itself is just over a mile but the activities branch off the trail for more fun. Bring waters and small snacks if your kids decide they don’t like the food. You can bring digital cameras, too. I suggest doing that since iPhones are the best at night time photos!
We’re excited about the Spirit of Christmas night for the live music, marketplace full of brands that give back, hot cocoa, and to see Santa of course! There will be choirs from all over Austin performing, a live nativity scene, food trucks and more, all benefiting Education Connection and the Trail of Lights Foundation.
Tickets are only $15 and kids under 11 are FREE, y’all. If you want a stress-free trip to the Trail of Lights, this is it. Less people, friendlier people (because they’re stress-free) and it’s something to do on a Tuesday. Come play!
Is it strange that I love getting and sending Christmas cards in the mail? I know what everyone’s children/grandchildren look like ( because of social media) but I still LOVE holiday cards. It’s a Christmas tradition i will continue forever!
